ParticipantHi,
I’m here because Brian Williamson told me I should be, and Brian has never let me down. We’ve talked each other into things for a couple of decades now, and it was Brian who gave me my first formal invite into the consulting world. I know a few others here (Amy Norton, Richard Bergstrom, Alan Spies) so I’ll make a few comments on your threads.
I live in Madison, WI. Most of career was in starting new churches as a denominational executive. Did some writing and speaking and traveling…that sort of work. Pivoted to consulting space six years ago through GiANT Worldwide/5 Voices/etc., and it’s been great. Clients across the board.
<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Interests</span>: fitness, history, Green Bay Packers, vacation property in Door County, WI, travel.
<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>My MCode</span>:
TRIGGER: Be Unique
PROCESS: Experience the Ideal/Improve/Influence
OUTCOME: Make an Impact.
I don’t know the nuances of what that all means yet. 🙂
<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Why MCode</span>? In my consulting I’ve found myself truly enjoying the challenge of taking highly competent executives who undermine their influence because of lack of self-awareness and relational intelligence (EQ)–and helping them grow. It’s been a blast, I’m good at it, and I want to continue to explore and expand that niche. MCode can add to my toolkit. Recently I had one exec confide in me: “I’m always disappointed–in others, in myself, everywhere.” I said to her, “I’m going to bring you through a process called MCode…so hang on.” I guess she’ll be my first Impact session.
Other: two beautiful adult sons, and a 100-day old grandson.
Thank you all! I look forward to learning from you!
Tom
